Physical Therapy Assistant
Responsibilities Under direct supervision of physical therapist, deliver prescribed physical therapy treatments, services and home instruction to patients to restore function, prevent disability following disease, injury or loss of a body part, and help patients reach maximum performance levels. Utilize physical exercise, massage, heat, water and various mechanical and electrical equipment, and prosthetic and orthotic devices. Record and report on patient progress. MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING; ASSOCIATE'S DEGREE (A.A.) OR EQUIVALENT FROM A TWO-YEAR COLLEGE OR TECHNICAL SCHOOL; OR SIX MONTHS TO ONE YEAR RELATED EXPERIENCE AND/OR TRAINING; OR EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE. CERTIFICATION AS A PT ASSISTANT.
This client has earned numerous awards in recent years, including Quality Leader and Consumer Choice designations by the National Research Council, and Top 100 hospitals for stroke care and orthopedics and is the first Tucson hospital named to the national list of 100 Top Hospitals.
